One year ago, if you told me I'd be an avid podcast listener, I'd have laughed. I never knew I would be keeping up with podcasts weekly the way I do, but luckily, I have a job that lets me listen to these podcasts while I work! The podcasts I'm about to tell you about are phenomenal, and they all have something to offer. If you love podcasts, you'll love at least a few of these. 🎧
Side note: I listen to all of these podcasts on Spotify, because that's the platform that I use - but I'm 99% positive these can be found across streaming services depending on whatever you may use.
Extra Gravy Show
This is the main podcast I make sure I never miss an episode of! This podcast is hosted by two comedians, Marlon Palmer and Norman Alconcel. Recently, Alicia "ACE" West has joined the group as a new host, and I love having that female perspective. 🎀 Anywho, every week, they discuss things going on in the world of entertainment (music, reality TV, celebrities, etc.), relationships, and they have little debates about things that may have been posted online - it's just an all-around good time. Of course with two of the hosts being comedians, you're guaranteed to laugh a lot. This podcast reminds me of sitting in the room with my best friends and just having a funny conversation about different things going on in the world. That's why I love it so much.
Currently ~ You can catch Extra Gravy Show every Wednesday. This podcast tends to do longer episodes that typically runs between 2 and 3 hours, which I love for when I'm at work.
Breakthrough Brand Podcast
I never thought I would enjoy listening to a podcast like this one, but I absolutely love it! Elizabeth McCravy is a web designer and business strategist. She uses her podcast to give all of us great tips and advice on how to have successful websites for our businesses! She's incredibly informative, and even though her main focus is websites, she discusses many other business-related topics that are super helpful. Elizabeth has helped me a ton with my website, and I wouldn't have been able to launch a website that looks THIS amazing without her!
Currently ~ New Breakthrough Brand Podcast episodes are released every Tuesday! These episodes are usually between 30-50 minutes!
The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her Podcast
Ah!!! I love this podcast so much and I can listen to it for hours and hours. Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick are two people that will have you completely rethinking your entire life plan. Almost every episode, they interview someone in a specific industry - celebs, entrepreneurs, influencers, experts, and thought leaders. They talk about tons of topics such as beauty/wellness, business, mindset, resources, relationships, blogging tips + tricks, you name it! Lauryn Evarts is a blogger turned business woman, and she's one of the biggest mentors in my life. Michael Bosstick is her husband and motivator, and he has knowledge for days. I actually discovered this podcast from Elizabeth Mccravy who's the host of the last podcast I mentioned! When I tell you I've learned so much from all of these podcasters, I truly mean it. 😂
Currently ~ The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her Podcast releases new episodes every Tuesday! The episodes are around an hour.
Swallow It Podcast
Yep, you heard that right. Swallow It. This raunchy podcast is hosted by Danielle Victor. You may know her as 1/2 of the Victor Twins pair from one of my favorite shows: The Bad Girls Club. On this podcast, Danni typically interviews another person and they discuss relationships and being in the entertainment business. I love this podcast because Danni doesn't hold back. She keeps it real and she's unapologetically herself - in a good way. I love people like that.
Currently ~ Swallow It Podcast releases new episodes every Tuesday. The episodes are around an hour.
The Lavendaire Lifestyle
The Lavendaire Lifestyle is hosted by Aileen Xu, who happens to be one of the most inspirational women in my life. I originally discovered Aileen on YouTube where she discusses ways to create your dream life. Her podcast is her YouTube channel in podcast form. On her podcast, she interviews people in different industries and mainly discusses personal development and lifestyle design. Aileen is a breath of fresh air, and if you need to take a breather, this podcast is the way to go.
Currently ~ The Lavendaire Lifestyle releases new episodes every Sunday. The episodes are around 35 minutes.
Tuesday People Podcast
Tuesday People Podcast is hosted by Mitch Albom. Mitch released a memoir called Tuesdays With Morrie in 1997 where he discussed a series of visits he made to his former sociology teacher, Morrie Schwarts, who was slowly dying of ALS. I remember reading Tuesdays With Morrie back in my 8th grade English class. I was happy to find this podcast for that very reason because I knew I'd learn a lot. Mitch takes different things he learned from his intelligent, loving professor Morrie, and discusses the topics in detail on his podcast. For example, there are episodes on how to have no regrets, being content with getting older, and whether you should or shouldn't have children - just to name a few.
Currently ~ New episodes of the Tuesday People Podcast are released every Tuesday, as you may have guessed. Each episode is around 40 minutes.
When I'm looking for new podcasts to listen to, I always look for ones that will stimulate my mind. I want to leave every episode feeling like I've learned something new about myself, about others, about life. All of these podcasts do that for me. Be sure to let me know if you check any of these podcasts out! I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much for reading, and happy listening! 💕🎧
