Honestly, this post was supposed to be completed and up this past Saturday. I had it planned out in my head all week. Until I woke up at 3:30 AM and saw the news about Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) having passed away due to cancer. That just made me want to take a step back to process some things - so I ended up not posting anything altogether. May Chadwick rest in peace! He will always be a hero in our hearts, especially to the Black community. 
Even though I was saddened by Chadwick's death, I felt heavily inspired by his strength. He accomplished so much in the time he was diagnosed with cancer. He didn't let that stop him or hold him back, and that truly made me think about all the time I've wasted on things that didn't align with my passions. In Chadwick's name, I am going to push forward towards no longer spending any of my time with anything that doesn't serve my soul.
Now, I wanted to give you all a life update. I've decided that I'm going to be doing sporadic "life update" blogs whenever I feel inclined to. I realize that I haven't been very consistent with a set schedule as far as blogging on here goes, and those of you that don't have me on all social media platforms and maybe only have me on one, such as YouTube, probably have no idea where I'm at or what I'm up to. So that brings us to the few things I'd like to update you guys on! 
New Schedule
I've decided on a new blogging schedule, that way, you guys always know when to expect new posts from me! Going forward, new blog posts will be posted every Saturday! Typically, the blogs will be released Saturday mornings, but there may be times where they'll pop up in the afternoon or evening. Just know that there will be a new one every Saturday! Of course, this could change in the future, and if it does, I will obviously let you guys know. But for now, expect new posts on Saturdays. Also, side note: there will be weeks where I post blogs on other days, along with the Saturday post - for ex: next week, I could post an extra blog on Tuesday, but still look forward to that Saturday post no matter what. 
Tip: There is also a subscription box located on my blog. All you have to do is enter in your email, and you will receive new updates straight to your email inbox whenever new blog posts are published. I highly recommend doing this if you're a regular reader of my content so you don't have to keep checking my website constantly to see when new posts pop up!
I Moved!
As many of you already know, I was living with my best friend since the end of last year while my house was in the process of getting renovated. I am super thankful for my second family giving me a place to stay while my house was getting redone! It was like a 9-month slumber party with my best friend. However, it does feel nice to be decorating my own space and just having the opportunity to be alone. I talked about this in my "What Life is Like As An Extroverted Introvert" post. I need my time by myself to reenergize, otherwise, I can be very annoying to be around, lol. I really want to show you guys my room so far, but I'm not going to show it in its entirety until it's completely finished. I have been posting little sneaks here and there on my Instagram stories though -- it's so tempting. But just you wait. 
New Content
Aside from new blogs every Saturday, I'm sure you all are wondering when I'm returning back to YouTube. I was initially supposed to come back earlier this year, but COVID-19 pushed back the renovation of my house, so everything got pushed back/canceled. Literally all of my plans. And of course, there was always the option of doing little vlogs throughout the year until I got settled in once my house was finalized, but I didn't want to do a bunch of vlogs because I'm not really a vlogger? That would've felt very forced to me. And I'm working on bettering myself in all areas of my life before I come back to YouTube. However, I will be back in due time! I will be bringing more content than ever before (pinky promise), because I'm designing my space in a way that aligns with all of the content I have in mind for my channel and other sites/apps I plan on being a part of. Do with that what you will. 
Socials
Even though I haven't been on YouTube since the beginning of the year, I'm still active elsewhere! I mainly spend most of my time on Instagram - I'm on there every single day posting stories of new music I'm enjoying, cute vids/pics of my bird, videos of what I'm up to, new products I've bought, funny videos with friends, etc. So if you really want to keep up with me on a daily basis, feel free to follow me there! Also, I'm very active on my Pinterest page as well. I get on there almost every day and I pin a lot of new things. Twitter, I'm on quite a bit - but as of right now, my Twitter page is deactivated because I need a break from that site from time to time lmao. I'm not on there as much as I used to be anymore anyhow. However, my handle is @VarietyPrincess for when it pops back up. My Tumblr, I'm on occasionally. I try to be on there more, but Tumblr just fell off to me. I'd much rather spend my time on Pinterest, but nonetheless, I'm still on there from time to time.
